Delivering Results – Maintenance
With all equipment, there is an element of maintenance required to ensure trouble free operation over years. The Gamechangers have been designed so that maintenance will be at a minimum if cleaning is regularly undertaken. Below we have listed some of the factors that will greatly reduce the maintenance burden on the Gamechangers:
a) The main functions of the Gamechangers are controlled by the unique software program developed to get the best results from the machines. In the latest versions we have replaced many “electrical” parts with software. The computers talk direct to Pick & Place Controllers using software and not relays. These reduce system complexity and utilise a lot of off-the-shelf cabling solutions allowing 2 way communications at higher speeds. The software also allowed us to intelligently reduce the number of sensors required to ensure the operations run at speed with high throughput of mushrooms and containers.
b) Program updates can be undertaken remotely via wireless technology allowing connection to the internet.
c) Problems and queries can be viewed and analysed remotely through a wireless internet link.
d) The motors are high quality with the main belt motor housed inside the main electric box. The compact size of the Gamechangers means that cable runs and connectors can utilise off-the-shelf cabling solutions. Safety overload is controller by the controller and can be reset by stopping and restarting.
e) Problems can be quickly diagnosed from the touch screen diagnostics screen. With a touch of a finger one can see if the item works or not.
f) Sensor indicators can be easily viewed and tested to see if they work. This can be seen at the indicator light on the sensor or by utilising the diagnostic screen. Replacement of sensors can be easily undertaken by unscrewing and screwing back on the connector.
g) Many Controller Cards and Relay Switches are held on a Din Rail allowing quick replacement in the unlikely event that this would be needed with many push in connectors.
h) The Floor Supported Articulated Lift has a modular electronics design. This allows support staff to quickly find where the actual problem is and thus resolve the issue. With quick connection attachments allows us to swap entire modules quickly. If the problem is the main electrics box, we can swap it out in minutes. If the problem is the handset, it could be plugged out and another one plugged in. This could eliminate the creation of another problem while trying to analyse the fault.
i) The Mushroom Machine Company Ltd uses high quality products and ensures that the products are more than capable of carrying out the tasks required.
j) The technical problems that may come up should be easily resolved by those of limited technical knowledge.
k) A Maintenance Contract is available to owners of the Gamechanger range of products.
Maintenance needs to be minimal for machines that could operate 22 hours per day, 365 days a year. We believe we have achieved this with the Gamechanger range of products.
The Gamechanger is the only viable harvesting solution for existing mushroom farms.
